How the Community Protection Approach (CPA) advances the Localisation Agenda

One of the central aims of an international organization is to strive to make itself redundant in the contexts it operates in, resulting from supporting efforts to empower communities to successfully demand that their rights be upheld by the duty bearers responsible, in order for that same community to be able to make informed decisions regarding their safety and dignity.

Working together with communities and local civil society organizations to mobilize local strategies and resources addressing the risks the communities face, organizations operating within the CPA framework can bolster locally driven responses and strengthen collaborative efforts between the communities and their local authorities.
