Individual Protection Approach (IPA)

Read the post in Spanish: Enfoque de Protección Individual

Effective referral systems are critical in ensuring that individuals and families receive urgent attention addressing their immediate needs. As data is collected during the various phases of the CPA, such cases may emerge and require instant action to be taken. The Individual Protection Approach, or IPA, ensures that the individual’s specific needs are identified and linked to the best placed service provider, whilst providing real time analysis and monitoring to track on their situation.

The IPA also analyses the overall referral system through and Information Management System integrated into the CPA platform, to identify gaps and unmet needs of individuals, families, household and communities.

By quickly identifying the most vulnerable and linking them to the best placed service provider, individuals can become empowered to take action and claim their rights from those responsible in upholding them. Check out the infographic below for more information.
